At the BDC, we have 2 week sessions. The last night of the session, we have a group overnight. To these kids, they are in the WILD, even if really they are less than a mile from camp. We had our first overnight of the summer Thursday, and after hiking to our shelter, the kids decided to build a fairy city behind the shelter.

and treehouses.
In the morning we awoke to find the fairies had visited!
A girl who lost her tooth the night before found herself sprinkled with fairy dust and "mulberries" (which are the fairies favorite food) in her shoe!
And all the rest of the city was sparkling, too!
Needless to say, an excellent overnight. Hopefully the kids will never forget that even if you are 19, you can see a fairy :)
